Let Your Spirit Soar - The Butterfly Conservatory
In a tropical rainforest setting you explore an ingenious network of pathways
among lush, exotic flora. Everywhere there are exquisite butterflies floating in
the warm, moist air or spreading their iridescent wings on leaves and flowers.
It’s one more magical, surreal environment that makes up the fascinating Niagara
Parks experience.
Location: 2405 Niagara River Parkway Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
The Butterfly Conservatory is located only a few kilometres north of Niagara
Falls at the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens. Simply drive north (downriver)
along the Niagara River Parkway toward Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Admission to the Butterfly Conservatory is included with the purchase of the
Winter Magic Pass.
Q. How do we get to the Butterfly Conservatory from Toronto?
A. Take the QEW to Niagara Falls, Shortly after crossing over the Garden City
Skyway in St. Catharines, exit to your left and take the # 405 to Queenston.
Take the Stanley Avenue exit off ramp on the right and at the top of the off
ramp you take a left turn at the lights (Stanley Avenue) and take the overpass
over the # 405.
At the intersection of Townline Road and Portage Road; turn right on Portage.
At the Portage Road and Niagara Parkway intersection (Stop Sign) you turn right
and follow the Niagara Parkway. The Butterfly Conservatory will be on your right
shortly after passing the Sir Adam Beck power station.
Q. How do we get to the Butterfly Conservatory from the U.S.?
A. Cross over the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge. Take the Stanley Avenue exit
(right) to Niagara-on-the Lake / Queenston. Turn right on Townline Road. At the
corner of Townline Road and Portage Road, turn left onto Portage Road. At the
Portage Road and Niagara Parkway intersections, turn right and follow the
Niagara Parkway. The Butterfly Conservatory will be on your right shortly after
passing the Sir Adam Beck power station.
